Whisper Step underlayment by Leggett & Platt provides high-density support under luxury vinyl flooring. The underlayment is made of synthetic rubber to provide significant reduction in impact noise. Whisper Step retains acoustic properties over time, is guaranteed not to break down or bottom out for the life of the floor, and is made with Fresh Dimension® antimicrobial, which inhibits the growth of mold, mildew, and odor-causing bacteria.
It can be used over most substrates, including over in-floor heating, and is recommended by the Radiant Professionals Alliance as an excellent choice. Whisper Step also contributes to LEED flooring systems and building materials points, with no less than 20% recycled content and 100% recyclable at the end of its useful life.
