Dewalt Adds Stud Finders to Electronic Tools Lineup

Dewalt recently announced its first stud finders, offering automatic calibration for accurate stud detection in wood, metal, and AC wiring. The 3/4 in. stud finder (DWO100) provides depth detection of up to 3/4 inches while the 1-1/2 in. stud finder (DWO150) provides depth detection of up to 1-1/2 inches.

Key to these new stud finders for Dewalt is the one-step Center Find Technology. While many traditional stud finders locate the edge of the stud, Dewalt Stud Finders locate the center for a more efficient read, even when held at a sub-optimal angle. Dewalt stud finders also automatically calibrate, eliminating the need for the user to have to go through calibration setup before the device can function properly.
