Chicago, Ill. -- Z Modular recently announced that it has hired Stacy Young as project manager of Z Modular in Birmingham, Ala. In her new role, Young will be responsible for project planning, sourcing finishes for the modules, hitting strategic milestones to ensure a project stays on track within expected delivery dates, managing the budget, and closing out Z Modular projects in development. Currently, Young is managing the recently announced Cheatham Street Flats, a student housing development in San Marcos, Texas.

Young comes to Z Modular with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked on various projects across the U.S., including developments in Detroit, Mich., and Las Vegas, Nev. She most recently worked at Thor Construction, based in Las Vegas. The last project she managed was the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Ala., where she worked with the Equal Justice Initiative. Young oversaw quality to ensure the memorial met the developers' standards and stayed within budget and on schedule.

"We are very excited to welcome Stacy to the Z Modular family," said Derek Henderson, vice president of operations for Z Modular. "Her experience in running successful construction projects through hitting key milestones and keeping within budget is second to none. Stacy is an asset to our current and future Z Modular projects."
