Tennant Coatings recently introduce the new ChemXP line of high performance secondary containment coatings, designed to protect substrates in some of the harshest industrial environments. The line was developed to provide Tennant Coatings’ elite certified installers with the needed solutions to protect facility’s critical infrastructure and surfaces against the highly corrosive substances found in industries such as chemical manufacturing, pulp and paper, mining and power generation.

The ChemXP series is comprised of five distinct systems, including ChemXP-VE Vinyl Ester Coating and its fiberglass flake-filled counterpart, ChemXP-VE Flake; ChemXP-Nov VE Novolac Vinyl Ester Coating and flake-filled ChemXP Nov VE Flake; and ChemXP-Nov Epoxy Novolac. Each of the systems furnishes specific benefits in terms of chemical, solvent, acid, and alkali resistance, as well as in cured film properties and performance characteristics. Together, the products that make up the ChemXP line provide solutions for the great majority of corrosive environments, enabling Tennant Coatings to become a one-stop-shop resource for heavy industry coating needs.

“ChemXP enables our technical sales specialists and installation partners to provide science-based, proven protection when confronted with challenging corrosive settings,” said Peter Kirton, vice president of tennant coatings. “These optimal containment and secondary containment solutions, as with our high quality concrete floor and wall coatings, help isolate dangerous industrial byproducts and substances on the surface, allowing for proper clean up and disposal.”
