Following the opening of the company’s first showroom in North America one year ago, Havwoods International is celebrating the anniversary of its New York City showroom.
Located in the Flatiron District, the showroom serves as a hub of wood flooring inspiration for the commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential markets, and it offers a destination experience and provides clients and customers with product and specification advice as well as samples for any project. Over the past year, a handpicked team of highly trained experts in wood products have welcomed retail customers, industry designers, and interior specialists alike to sample more than 150 wood products, suited to any project size, specification, or scheme.
“The Flatiron District showroom delivers a space that makes the specifying and product selection process simple, enjoyable, and comfortable,” said Allan Singh, general manager of Havwoods North America. “Our goal is to make our customers’ lives easier. For the past year, visitors have engaged with the products through a horizontal, table-top display allowing them a closer, more tangible experience compared to traditional vertical displays.”
The New York showroom features an airy and refined space with abundant light and an open studio. The single-story facility provides long presentation tables topped with a curated selection of European oak samples, all set flush within black steel frames. The tables offer wide, slender display drawers beneath—clad in gleaming brushed brass, which present the extensive Havwoods selection of styles and finishes. A full sample bar is arranged by color where customers can choose free samples. There are dedicated spaces throughout the showroom designed for collaboration, and an area to view the wood panels under controlled light settings that imitate various interior lighting scenarios. Here, they can also create ad hoc sample boards to combine the products with other materials and finishes.
