Atlanta -- Surya founder Surya Tiwari and president Satya Tiwari will be honored by City of Hope, an independent cancer research and treatment center, with its highest honor, the 2019 Spirit of Life Award. For the past six years, Surya has been a financial partner in the City of Hope’s efforts to fund new research and medical treatments that have led to therapies now used by millions of people facing life-threatening illnesses around the world.
“My father and I are very honored to receive this year’s Spirit of Life Award,” said Satya Tiwari. “Although we are receiving the award, the real credit goes to the efforts of thousands of our weavers, employees, customers and vendor partners across the world. We look forward to continuing the success City of Hope has achieved in the furniture industry and work to elevate the organization’s visibility within the accessories industry.”
