Dalton, Ga. -- Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) has announced the third cycle in its Capital Improvement Grants program with a priority application deadline of January 18, 2019. The Capital Improvement Grant Program - Cycle 3A provides funding for capital improvements that will establish, increase, improve and enhance additional California-generated post-consumer carpet (PCC) reuse, recycling and/or utilization of recycled content product in manufacturing.

CARE has allocated between $1 and $1.5 million total to award to projects throughout Cycle 3A (2018-19). Individual projects may apply for up to $500,000 in Cycle 3A funds. Private entities, non-profit organizations and local government agencies are eligible to apply.

Questions from potential grantees are being accepted now through December 18, 2018; answers will be posted to the CARE website on December 21.
