Unilin IP Unveils Unizip for Glueless Herringbone Installations

Hannover, Germany -- At Domotex, which runs January 11-14, Unilin IP will present a new locking technology, Unizip, which aims to set a new standard for herringbone glueless flooring panels. The locking system, which locks both short and long sides of panels in a horizontal and vertical way, allows flooring panels to be installed in both herringbone and standard row patterns, without the traditional need for two sets of panels (“A and B” or “left and right” panels).

The Unizip technology solves many of the logistical and installation issues associated with a traditional herringbone floor. Manufacturers no longer need to manufacture two different types of panels for one-floor installation, and as a result, manufacturers, distributors and retailers will not need to stock a second type of panel. Unizip is suitable for all types of flooring, including luxury vinyl tile, stone plastic composite, laminate, wood, and others.
