Morristown, N.J. -- J&S Designer Flooring announced that local nonprofit Neighborhood House has been named as the official recipient of a Design For A Difference Morristown makeover. The project is currently underway, with unveiling slated for Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. at the charity’s 12 Flagler Street location in Morristown, N.J.

Design For A Difference is sponsored by the International Design Guild (IDG). As a member of IDG, J&S Designer Flooring serves as the local sponsor of Design For A Difference Morristown with co-owners Javid & Sima Hakakian tapping Eastern Design Group, one of the area’s top interior design businesses, to contribute to the makeover.

As the selected charity, Morristown Neighborhood House (and its parent organization Cornerstone Family Programs) strengthens communities by helping people build better lives. Pre-school, after school, summer camp, recreation, tutoring, mentoring, and college preparation programs give children the best start in life and guide teens to successful adulthood.

Additionally, they offer parenting education, recreation, workforce development, language, and skill-building programs to support adults as well as adult day care centers and caregiver education programs that help older adults remain independent in their homes.

The nonprofit is renovating two of Neighborhood House’s classrooms. Under the direction of Jonathan Hakakian at J&S Designer Flooring, the renovation of these spaces includes new flooring, wall coverings paint, mural, flooring and accessories including cork board, mirrors and cabinetry. The J&S Designer Flooring team is working under the mentorship of interior designer and Design For A Difference National Spokesperson, Mark Brunetz, who will be on-hand to film the big reveal on January 14 along with a Los Angeles-based production crew.
