Solon, Ohio -- Tarkett created its own Light the Night team during the Tarkett Residential sales meeting, held during The International Surface Event (TISE) trade show in Las Vegas to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

As part of a company-wide focus to support important charities and those affected by life- changing illnesses, Tarkett employees attending the TISE trade show took part in this event and have raised $11,765 in less than a month. The walk took place in Henderson, Nev., and lit the night to spread awareness of this illness.

LLS is the world’s largest organization dedicated to battling the complex disease that is blood cancer. LLS funding has helped advance 34 of the 39 blood cancer treatments approved by the FDA since 2017. LLS has invested $1.2 billion in critical research since 1949 and to date 93,000 patients have been supported by their services since its inception. The cutting-edge research they are funding is impacting many other forms of cancer including breast, lung, and pancreatic.

“The night was filled with a celebration of friendship, hope, remembrance and support,” said Elizabeth Hurley, vice president of residential sales. “With our lanterns lighting the night, we all felt stronger in the fight against this terrible disease and were uplifted knowing that we are never alone.”
