The success of Shaw Floors’ industry-leading REPEL water-resistance technology reaches new heights in 2019, with the introduction of REPEL Hardwood and the addition of new visuals to REPEL Laminate.

Shaw Floors’ proprietary research reinforces that consumers’ most desired aesthetic is authentic hardwood. Its unique and natural character brings undeniable beauty to a home. However, busy lifestyles — children, pets, daily activity — can make hardwood a less feasible option, which is no longer the case with Shaw Floors’ REPEL Hardwood.

Building upon Shaw Floors’ industry-leading REPEL water-resistance technology, REPEL Hardwood features a protective barrier on top of the plank that keeps spills and liquids on the floor’s surface, minimizing the chance for any moisture to seep into the plank.

New REPEL Hardwood introductions include Relic and Landmark Mixed Width, incorporating the most popular visuals from the EPIC Extreme Nature products. With four colors, inspired by Revivalism and mimicking the aesthetic of true, reclaimed floors, Relic’s white accents, mixed species and nail holes provide a sense of history. Relic features 3.25-inch wide planks and high plank variation. Landmark Mixed Width consists of a subdued six-color palette with soft highlighting, subtle scraping and mixed-width visuals to best showcase the natural beauty of classic, American hardwood. Available in 3-inch,5-inch and 8-inch mixed width planks.

For 2019, Shaw Floors is also reintroducing its best-selling Extreme Nature collection with the addition of REPEL water-resistance on the Reflections and Landmark styles. A total of 33 colors will launch with this innovative technology.
