Manchester, N.H. -- The International Design Guild (IDG) continues to expand its membership with Denver-based Aztec Carpet and Rug. Aztec Carpet and Rug joins IDG after its recent relocation to the International Design Center in Denver. Their new 6,000-square-foot-space houses a collection of soft surface products including luxury carpet, intricately designed artisan rugs, and specialty items for both industry professionals and discerning homeowners.

“Our core focus is on beautiful area rugs and broadloom carpeting for the affluent household, but we also maintain a broad commercial and hospitality library for our clients,” said Jaime (Jim) Rodriguez, president of Aztec Carpet and Rug. “One of our unique features is that we are one of the few designer showrooms in the U.S. that also features its own workroom with one of the largest selections of edge finishing options and rug fabrication services.”

Founder Domingo Rodriguez opened Aztec Carpet & Rugs in 1983. In 1991, Rodriguez recruited his children, Jaime and Brenda, to join the family business. Artists at heart, Jaime and Brenda channeled their collective creativity into a passion for beautifully crafted rugs and carpets. Today, the duo is the driving creative force at the helm of all company operations from design concepts to the fabrication process and installation.

Aztec Carpet & Rugs manages projects from beautifully crafted custom home rugs to special large-scale installs. Their carpets and rugs can be seen in a wide variety of spaces around the country, from beautiful multi-million-dollar residential homes to high-end hospitality, fashion retail headquarters, and pro football stadium suites.

“One of the reasons my sister Brenda and I joined IDG was to be part of an exclusive community, to network with similar minded showrooms from other parts of the country, and to offer exclusive product to our designer clientele in a market where products are no longer distributed discriminately,” said Rodriguez. “We hope to benefit from this as well as the programs and opportunities that are presented by CCA. We understand in a complex and ever-changing market the need to differentiate our company and offer the best to our customers.”

Aztec joins nearly one-hundred design partners that are part of the IDG community. “Since the beginning, The International Design Guild has been a collaborative of like-minded design partners whose collective experience, passion, and abilities are woven together for the benefit of the group and ultimately, their customers,” said Keith Spano, president of IDG. “IDG members are purveyors of the world's finest upscale flooring, including our exclusive Dabbieri Collection of fine floors, available exclusively in IDG showrooms. As a collaborative, we continue to evolve our programs through the shared expertise of our members. We are committed to providing Aztec Carpet & Rug and all our members unique tools and programs that drive their profitability and growth as the industry continues to move forward.”
