Bostik, Inc., a world leader in adhesives and installation systems for building construction, was awarded the "Best Of" Innovation for its revolutionary new product, BAM, during The International Surface Event (TISE). The event was held January 28-30, 2020 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

TISE selected the “Best Of” Awards Program winners for 2020, and Bostik was chosen as winner in the Innovation Category. TISE, along with the awards program sponsors, host the “Best Of” Award programs to celebrate industry innovation and ingenuity, and exhibitors’ contributions to the floor covering industry. The “Best Of” Event Awards is an annual awards program for exhibiting companies whose product, program, service, business practice and/or booth design are considered to be “Best Of” in their class.

Adam Abell, Bostik's Market Manager for Tile & Stone Installation Systems, stated that his entire team was very excited to hear the news. “We all worked very hard to develop this technology, and this proves that our perseverance paid off.  As our industry advances, the need for speed and workability becomes more and more of a reality. Winning this innovation award proves that we are developing products that our industry demands.”

BAM is Bostik's latest high-performance, fiber-reinforced tile mortar. Formulated with RapidCure Technology, BAM offers maximum performance for installations of large and heavy tile, glass tile, mosaics, quarry, porcelain, ceramic, most natural stone tiles, and even gauged porcelain tile / panels.

Most notably, its RapidCure Technology allows for a consistent cure resulting in tile being ready for grouting in just 4 hours. Additionally, BAM delivers exceptional bond strength that exceeds ANSI 118.15 requirements.

“Our team has to stay on the front line of product and innovation from our industry,” explains Erin Albrecht, Principal at J&R Tile, Inc. in San Antonio, TX. “We discovered BAM late in 2019 and have adapted this product to some of our more technically challenging projects that have required very high bond strength with gauged porcelain tile panels and glass tiles, and we have leveraged the technology in both residential and commercial projects as a result of its versatility. BAM has allowed us to turn work over faster and reduce the risks present on job sites due to compressed construction schedules and traffic from other trades.”
