Entering 2020, Commercial USA member, Flooring Services LLC of Charleston, SC, was set up for another very successful year. Despite uncertainty at the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, construction was deemed an essential business in all of their primary markets and business moved forward with little interruption.
According to Jim Jacobs, CFO and general manager ,“We experienced some minor delays in the awarding of contracts and a few lulls in bidding but overall the construction market remained robust.” Jacobs also added that it was not completely business as usual as they had to adapt with additional safety precautions such as holding daily meetings outside, increased cleaning and sanitizing measures and supplying all company vehicles with masks, sanitizers and wipes.
