Kevin Rausch, the newly appointed chief design & technology officer of HMTX Industries, announced the expansion of his design team with the appointment of Debbie Belle to the position of vice president, design of HMTX. Belle will assist Rausch in developing cohesive goals around technologies and techniques for product design with an integrated approach to leading innovation at HMTX.

Prior to joining HMTX, Belle was the hard surface design director at Welspun Flooring and, before that, held positions with IVC / Mohawk and other building material companies. She has extensive knowledge of many aspects of the computer design field, including floor coverings, wall coverings, textile print design, and color separation, as well as multiple CAD systems. She has an associate degree in engineering graphics, specialized training in commercial software and hardware for surface printing, and a Certificate in Computer Technology with a major web designer-developer.

Said Rausch in announcing the new member of his team, “Debbie is a remarkable design leader within the flooring industry. Her depth of knowledge and design sensibilities are powerful, and she’s a great collaborator with a multi-faceted role. She is currently helping reimagine the design organization within HMTX to optimize our capabilities and strengthen our design methods. Also, Debbie is leading our shift from analog to digital processes and development. Debbie is an industry thought leader and a key pillar in our future planning.”

According to Belle, HMTX has a rich history of doing things that have not been done before. “I am thrilled to be joining a company that embraces innovation,” she said. “It’s an exciting time to be joining a pioneering team that is embracing technology and transforming the industry. I have the privilege of working with Kevin Rausch to achieve his commitment to put people at the center of everything we do and to make beautiful flooring people love. I am proud to be part of the growth of HMTX.”
