Shaw Industries Announces New Builder/Multi-family Leadership

Shaw Industries Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., announced that Jay Smith has recently joined the company to lead the builder/multi-family division as vice president of sales.

The company reports that Smith joins Shaw with a deep knowledge of technical, professional and industry best practices that are essential to positioning its products and services for future business growth. In his new role, Smith will lead Shaw’s divisional and regional vice presidents, along with their teams of territory managers, in synergizing the company’s  specification and relationship-building efforts with flooring contractors. Most recently serving as president of the FloorExpo Group, Smith played a key role in scaling and operating the largest purchasing cooperative for builder and multi-family contractors, with five operating divisions and 750 locations.
