Through a series of monthly events, Seattle-based Carpet Liquidators and the NW Canine Coalition have created and hosted events where prospective owners meet-and-greet canine adoptees.

“We are pleased to support the NW Canine Coalition’s mission of finding welcoming homes for these abandoned pets,” said Michael Fleming, owner of Carpet Liquidators. “Our store locations provide a venue where these dogs begin a loving journey with their new owners.”

NW Canine Coalition acts as a catalyst to connect families in need of canine companionship with dogs in need of loving families. The non-profit organization also collaborates with other professionals such as certified dog trainers, behaviorists and veterinarians in the Northwest to help canines overcome their individual challenges so they are adoption-ready.

"We are thrilled to be a co-host of the monthly adoption events with Carpet Liquidators,” said Kathleen Hunter, president and executive director of the NW Canine Coalition. “As a non-profit organization, we focus on the harder to place dogs in rescue, whether due to behavioral challenges, medical needs, or age. These events provide another opportunity for us to shine a light on dogs in need of a home. And it's working!"

Courtesy of Carpet Liquidators, each of the adopted dogs receive “swag bags” including a dog toy, tennis ball, potty bags and a special bandana. The new owners are encouraged to upload adoption day photos on Facebook or Instagram, tagging Carpet Liquidators. The photo contest winner at each event receives a gift basket and a $250 gift certificate to Mud Bay Pet Supply Store.
