“HMTX Cares is off to a terrific start in funding our November 18 golf outing,” said Paul Eanes, HMAC Cares chairman. “Since we have added mental health illness to our addiction charity, there is major interest like we have never seen before. The two awful diseases often go hand in hand, and to fight addiction, you have to also fund agencies who specialize in mental health help including NAMI, the National Association of Mental Health Illness. The 2020-2021 year of COVID 19 only served to cause spikes in both. Please, please join our fight by becoming a sponsor.”
HMTX Cares thanks the generous sponsors who have signed up to date:
• Gold ($5,000): Hope House, Hot, Inc., Realized Solutions, Inc., Tri-West, Ltd.
• Silver ($2,500): Air Tiger and Anonymous
• Bronze ($1,000): Spartan Floors and Anonymous
• Hole Sponsor ($500): Adleta Corporation, Anonymous, Erik Arnold - Foam Products, Floor Covering Weekly magazine, Floor Focus magazine/FloorDaily, Floor Trends magazine, Metroflor Corporation, Michael Kaminsky, Ohio Valley Flooring
One of the tournament highlights will be our partnership with the professional women’s golf group BackSwing, owned and operated by 75 women professional golfers who offer their golf skills, knowledge and personalities to charitable golf fundraising events. One of Backswing’s pros will be stationed on a par three at Fields Ferry with a fun spin on closest to the pin. For as little as $10, players participating in “beat the pro” will earn a certain amount of raffle tickets depending on their donation amount. If they beat the pro closest to the pin, they will earn double the raffle tickets purchased.
$20 raffle tickets for sale at the fundraiser include:
• Two YETI-style coolers
• Two round-trip American Airlines tickets to anywhere in the US
• $400 cash to the Top Two flights per team
• Weekend for two at Marriott Muscle Shoals, Alabama resort and a round of golf on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals (donated by Teknoflor)
• A Top Flite Senior Men’s Golf Set
