Fishman Flooring Solutions, the Baltimore, Maryland-based distributor of flooring and flooring installation supplies, set attendance records at its virtual annual sales meeting January 18-19, 2022. Approximately 200 of the company’s customers, 57 vendor partners representing 40 companies and almost 100 Fishman employees participated in the meeting.

“While our preference was to hold the meeting in person, protecting participants from the coronavirus was our highest priority,” said Greg Vale, Fishman vice president of sales. “Our virtual meeting was tremendously efficient for everyone who participated. This was particularly true for our trade show, which accomplished more for our customers, vendors and Fishman team members in seven hours than they would have accomplished in months of in-person meetings.”

Eight mini-education sessions presented by Fishman vendors were an important part of the meeting agenda, according to Vale. Subjects ranged from driving market share with VCT to improving margin with cushion upgrades to maximizing display revenue. Keynote speaker John Wu, president of Novalis, shared his thoughts on opportunities for business growth with LVT in 2022.

Fishman also used the tradeshow to formally introduce Landmark Interiors, the company’s new umbrella brand for its lines of engineered hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl tile and sports flooring for both residential and commercial markets. Landmark Interiors products will be well inventoried throughout Fishman’s footprint, giving the company a competitive advantage in today’s fast-paced construction environment at a time when some flooring products are in short supply.
