CCA Global Partners announced that all of its members across the retail brands have just joined World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), the floor covering industry’s largest advocacy organization representing specialty floor covering retailers, manufacturers and distributors internationally. The move that unites two of the industry’s strongest voices adds some 1,500 members to WFCA’s ranks and bolsters the group’s significant lobbying power.

As part of the partnership, retail group members of Carpet One Floor & Home, Flooring America, Flooring Canada, The Floor Trader and The International Design Guild are now also members of the WFCA.

The move comes as CCA Global Partners and other industry leaders are combining resources to help solve the industry’s installation crisis alongside the efforts of the Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF).

“There is strength in numbers; and we’ve joined the WFCA to provide more muscle behind their efforts to advocate for our industry. The WFCA has been the longtime voice of the flooring industry and we support their efforts on Capitol Hill,” said Keith Spano, President of Flooring America/Flooring Canada, International Design Guild and the Floor Trader. “They have been fighting hard in Washington, DC to advocate for flooring retailers and the industry on a whole and we’re proud to leverage our strength to support this influential group.”

Scott Humphrey, CEO of WFCA echoed Spano, citing the power of combining voices to tackle industry challenges. “CCA Global Partners is one of the most powerful and highly respected organizations in the flooring industry. We have previously had the privilege of working with their leadership team on multiple initiatives including the challenges around the installation crisis” Humphrey said. “I can’t begin to express how excited we are to combine our voices to positively impact our industry.”

John Gilbert, President of Carpet One Floor & Home, praised the move as it provides strength in numbers. “We are all impacted by the same challenges to our industry and addressing them together as one powerful entity we can use our collective voices to push through and find resolutions. We are excited to be part of WFCA moving forward and to making meaningful contribution,” he said.
