Spartan Surfaces reports it has acquired Source One Contract to grow market share throughout the Ohio Valley area.

“Source One is the missing geographical piece to round out Spartan’s Eastern U.S. representation,” said Spartan VP of Sales Michael Blasek. “Tactically, they approach the market in a similar manner; now armed with Spartan resources and product mix, the team will have a stronger package to offer their existing clients while opening additional opportunities in new market segments.” 

After seven years as a commercial contract rep, Michael Thompson founded Source One in 2005 with the goal of bringing an assortment of quality products to an underserved geography. Building a book of business with a focus on developing a professional brand of support and follow-up, and always putting the client first. Thompson’s model gained his team the reputation for bringing problem solving, unique products and solutions to the market. 

“My team always focused on developing our personal professional brand,” Thompson said. “The time is right for my team to join Spartan. This partnership will bring more brands and products to our clients as well as give our reps the support to grow business.” 

With the acquisition, Spartan Surfaces welcomes six new members to the team: Michael Thompson, Christy Mulhall, Chris Koury, Brigette Shirley, Scott Reitz, and Stephen Stauch.
