The Mohawk Summer Sale will run August 4 through September 14, 2022, and the company has reconstructed national promotions to target a variety of customers and drive traffic into retailers’ stores.

“Mohawk is launching the summer sale, which features our consumer rebate where consumers can receive up to $1,000 back,” said Janel Hernandez, director of channel marketing, Mohawk. 

The sale will promote both soft and hard surfaces including SmartStrand, SmartStrand Silk, EverStrand Soft Appeal, TecWood Select, TecWood Plus, UltraWoodSolidTech Select and Plus.

Retailers who sign up for the promotion will have access to Mohawk’s free, ready-to-use advertising assets including print, billboard, digital banners and photography. 

“If a retailer has signed up to utilize our Neighborhood ad manager, then they will have their store promoted to help draw consumers to their store,” Hernandez said. “Seventy-six percent of consumers begin their flooring purchases online, and post pandemic we’ve seen research where that continues to grow. Consumers are doing more and more research online, and therefore, when they come in store, they're so much more educated. We're seeing that buying cycle being a lot shorter.”  

Along with the traditional print and digital offerings, Mohawk is also providing retailers with an in-store point-of-purchase program.

“Within that kit gives them materials where they can feature these products that are on promotion, which can also be used for wayfinding,” Hernandez added.  

Mohawk will offer additional consumer savings with a manufacturer’s rebate. Qualifying purchases will receive up to $1,000 back on their Mohawk Flooring purchases via an American Express card in the United States and Visa in Canada.

“What I see from buying habits is that summer is a key season for purchasing," Hernandez said. "Retailers will let their consumers know that the summer savings event is going on even if they're coming in to just explore options for flooring. The retail sales associate will provide the education and really understand the customer's needs.”  

In addition, consumers will have access to financing through Synchrony. Using the Mohawk Flooring credit card, consumers can take advantage of limited-time, money saving promotions. 

“That’s really great for the retailer,” Hernandez said. “Because of the financing that is available, they’ve essentially grown their shopping basket. They have more product that they're selling and they're able to help the consumer remodel or purchase more flooring for their home.”
