Floor Covering Installer (FCI) announced the winners of the 2022 FCI Installation Awards. The FCI Installation Awards honor the most creative installers and interesting installations in a range of flooring categories, in both residential and commercial settings.
Residential Winner: Tile & Stone
Ken Ballin of Skyro Floors in West Creek, New Jersey, for his turtle scribe shower project in a master bathroom.
Residential Winner: Resilient
Greg Skafec of Greg Skafec General Contractor in Ashland, Ohio, for his kitchen floor project.
Residential Winner: Hardwood & Laminate
Matt Garcia of Craftsman Hardwood Flooring in San Angelo, Texas, for the walnut and white oak basketweave installation in a foyer.
Residential Winner: Carpet
Roland Thompson of Thompson Flooring & Installation in Frederick, Maryland, for the round dome carpet install.
Commercial Winner: Tile & Stone
J&R Tile, Inc., in San Antonio, Texas, for the San Fernando Cathedral Courtyard.
Commercial Winner: Topping & Overlays
Laticrete in Bethany, Connecticut, and flooring contractor Jason Roberts Services for the Autostrada Showroom and Event Facility.
Commercial Winner: Carpet
Wentz Custom Rug Co., in Springdale, Arkansas, for the Southern Arkansas University Main Hall project.
Commercial Winner: Resilient
H.J. Martin and Son in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for the West De Pere Intermediate School.
