To meet the demand for flooring and furnishings, Välinge has invested in its high-tech machinery park at the Kunshan support center with a double end tenoner (DET), which is used for trimming and sizing single panels and profiling in automatic production lines.

Välinge’s support center in Kunshan includes both furniture and flooring technology and offers local technical support and product sampling.

Investing in a new DET means the site now includes one DET completely dedicated to furniture and one dedicated to flooring. This brings many advantages, including the opportunity to offer a faster process of making floor samples to licensees, more efficient materials testing, and easier research and development for new profiling designs. In addition, the new machine allows for licensees’ profiling staff to be trained by expert DET machine operators without the need of disturbing their own production process.

“We are experiencing a major increase in demand for our technologies, and we truly wish to be the best possible partner to all our licensees," said Magnus Holgesson, region manager Asia at Välinge Innovation. "Investing in the DET to our machinery park helps us to, even better, serve our partners with all the support they might need. And it’s a great way for us to show potential licensees how profiling works under realistic conditions. We have a strong local team and with the fully equipped support center we can provide both existing and new partners with everything they need."
