The largest Shaw Flooring Network (SFN) Convention in the company's history opened on January 15, 2023, at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, with leadership calling for a “selling frenzy.”

SFN, which accounts for more than $1 billion in sales annually, comprises 2,100 independent flooring storefronts with 18,000 employees and 6,000 crews of installers. Collectively, the stores sell nearly 240,000 rolls of carpet and more than 256,000 pallets of hard surface flooring annually, according to SFN Vice President Danny Crutchfield.

The SFN Convention theme, "Independent & United”, reflects the mindset of SFN members across the country.

“We are all independent in the way we operate our businesses, and we are all so similar in our needs,” said Jennifer Homeyer, president and owner of The Design House in Denton, Texas. “While our business may be different sizes, different areas of the country, or have different customer bases, we all need efficiencies and solutions for everyday issues—whether it’s needing more competitive pricing, more innovative product, better terms, digital and marketing solutions, or solving our every-growing labor issue.”

To kick-start 2023, Crutchfield said the company has a sales goal of $25 million for the conference.

“We are trying to create a selling frenzy,” said Bob Hardaway, vice president of sales, Shaw Industries. “We are trying to create the biggest selling event SFN ever had.”

In collaboration with the SFN Dealer Council and internal partners, Hardway said he believes the company has coordinated the “best values, the best great deals, and the best terms for the Shaw Flooring Network.”

The dealer council, which is made up of retailers across the United States and Canada, represents different sizes and types of flooring businesses. The group communicates regularly about issues that impact flooring businesses and communicates the needs between SFN members and Shaw.
