Giving Back: Mohawk Donates New Floors for the Drake House
Sunshine on a Ranney Day (SOARD) recently revealed helped to renovate the headquarters at The Drake House in Roswell, Georgia.
The included redesigning multiple classrooms along with areas for arts and crafts and lounging.
Mohawk donated more than 3,000 square feet of SolidTech luxury vinyl flooring in the style Dash of Pepper for the project.
The waterproof flooring provided stain, scratch and antimicrobial protection that would beautifully stand up to the heavy traffic.
The goal of SOARD’s makeover was to create flexible spaces that allow the children to feel at home in a learning/activity environment.

Sunshine on a Ranney Day (SOARD), a Roswell, Georgia-based nonprofit organization that reimagines and builds custom rooms for children with special needs, recently revealed helped to renovate the headquarters at The Drake House in Roswell, Georgia.
The Drake House started in 2004 as a Leadership North Fulton class project to address the growing number of homeless women and children in the area. Community leaders gathered donations and volunteers from business and civic leaders, faith-based organizations, Fulton County, the City of Roswell and the United Way of Greater Atlanta to create a non-profit that could address the need. Now, The Drake House keeps families united under one roof as they work toward self-sufficiency.
The goal of SOARD’s makeover was to create flexible spaces that allow the children to feel at home in a learning/activity environment. The renovation included redesigning multiple classrooms along with areas for arts and crafts and lounging. The rooms also serve to help moms with relationship building, parenting, money management and health and wellness.
