ProSource is known for providing flooring products, building materials and design services to trade professionals and their customers for home and commercial projects. But the company is also making a name for itself in philanthropy.

For the second year in a row, ProSource Wholesale’s Dallas/Fort Worth franchise group hosted the ProSource Charity Shootout to raise money for the Tarrant Area Food Bank. A day of clay shooting for charity resulted in a total of $153,000 in donations for the food bank, an increase from $85,000 in 2022.

The contribution comes at a critical time as food banks are suffering supply shortages due to inflation, decreases to pandemic-era programs and federal and state benefits. The Tarrant Area Food Bank covers 13 counties in North Texas and serves people seeking food assistance including low-wage workers and their families, senior citizens living on fixed incomes, victims of family violence and of disasters, the chronically ill, the severely disabled, the homeless, the under-employed, and the temporarily and long-term unemployed.

“We had a fantastic turnout for the ProSource Charity Shootout and received many generous donations from those who attended the event,” said Brian Frailey, account manager with ProSource of Fort Worth. “We are proud to be able to assist the Tarrant Area Food Bank and the wonderful work it does in supporting families in need throughout the area. This donation comes at a very important time, and we thank everyone who donated to this very worthy cause.”

The ProSource Charity Shootout event was created and hosted by a group that owns four locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, located in Allen, Coppell, Dallas and Fort Worth. The group also operates three additional ProSource locations in Austin, San Antonio and Little Rock, Ark., with plans underway for a second showroom in Austin.
