Situated in the Vallée de Joux, nestled among the Swiss mountains, the architectural design of the Hôtel des Horlogers lives in dialogue with the majestic landscape. The hotel, designed by the Danish architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group architecture firm (BIG), blends traditional Swiss style with a contemporary architecture.

Tile manufacturer Atlas Concorde played a key role in the design through several porcelain tile collections selected by Audemars Piguet, Swiss luxury wristwatch manufacturer.

For the elegant common areas, the spa, and the refined in-house restaurant, BIG Studio chose the Brave stone-effect porcelain collection for floors with dark, warm tones and textures that evoke feelings of comfort and hospitality.

For the walls of the bathrooms inside the rooms, the choice fell on a different concept of materiality, more icy and simple, with the Blaze metal-effect porcelain tile. The aluminium shade echoes the light and visual appeal of the oxidized metal effect.

The spa's large spaces welcome and reflect light thanks to Atlas Plan large-format surfaces, a brand that is part of the Atlas Concorde product ecosystem with large porcelain slabs for kitchen countertops, tables, and furniture. Developed with designers and architects in mind, these ceramic surfaces extend continuously, creating a feeling of great openness and breadth while underscoring the dimension of luxury. The large Atlas Plan slabs amplify the architectural magnificence of the entire building in the context of an extraordinarily beautiful landscape.
