Mohawk's Performance Accessories showcased its commitment to the installation community as a platinum sponsor of the 2024 CFI and FCICA Convention and Trade Show. Held October 1-3 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, the event highlighted new developments in flooring installation techniques and industry partnerships.

A key moment came when Mohawk received the "Steadfast Supporter Award" from CFI, recognizing the company's commitment to the installer community over the past three years.

"We thank you for your unwavering support and generosity for 2024," said Steve Abernathy, chief operating officer of the World Floorcovering Association. 

This acknowledgment comes as the flooring industry addresses challenges in workforce development and technological adaptation.

Notable events at the convention included:

• During the Opening Ceremonies, Charles spoke about the importance of partnerships between manufacturers and trade organizations like CFI. He showcased a video highlighting the weight of these partnerships, which included clips of the Mohawk wood & laminate and Performance Accessories team participating in a CFI certification course.
• The presentation of new stair solutions designed to reduce LVP flooring installation times.
• A well-attended session on techniques for installing printed and patterned carpet, featuring Aladdin Commercial products.
• A professional headshot booth, highlighting Mohawk's effort to support installers' professional image.

While the convention is over, Mohawk will continue to support CFI and the installer community throughout the year by donating products to the TISE National Installer of the Year Competition stops.
