Bona announced the appointment of Clay Covington as vice president of professional sales for North America, effective December 1. Covington succeeds Tom McNeil, who is retiring after more than 17 years with the company.

Covington joins Bona with over 25 years of experience in the hard surface flooring industry. He most recently served as vice president of sales at Galleher and Trinity Hardwood Distributors, both divisions of Artivo Surfaces. His previous experience includes leadership positions at Mannington Mills and Butler-Johnson Corporation.

In his new role, Covington will oversee professional sales operations and local marketing teams while serving on Bona's National Leadership Team. The appointment comes as the company continues to strengthen its position in the premium flooring market.

A resident of Northern California, where he will continue to be based, Covington is also known for his long-standing volunteer work with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
