Fishman Flooring Solutions has been named one of Baltimore's Top Workplaces for 2024 by the Baltimore Sun, marking the sixth straight year the flooring distributor has received this recognition.

The company was among only 156 businesses selected from more than 70,000 Baltimore-area companies. The recognition was based on employee feedback gathered through an independent survey conducted in mid-2024.

"The Top Workplace awards are designed to highlight employers who provide extraordinary work environments that inspire and motivate their employees," said Shane Richmond, president of Fishman Flooring Solutions.

A key feature of Fishman's employee benefits is its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which provides eligible workers with 100% ownership of the company. The ESOP serves as a company-funded retirement program that supplements the existing 401(k) plan and benefits package.

"We firmly believe that thanks to our ESOP, our employee-owners are more invested in our business success and have higher morale and enhanced productivity than employees at other companies," Richmond said.

Fishman employs approximately 290 people across 47 branches in 18 states and the District of Columbia, with one-third of its workforce based in Baltimore. The company distributes more than 26,000 flooring and flooring installation products.
