Nemo Tile + Stone opened a new slab gallery, establishing a one-stop shopping destination for architects and designers seeking premium surface materials minutes from Manhattan.

The 30,000-square-foot Nemo Slab Collection Gallery houses an extensive selection of natural stone and porcelain slabs sourced from European quarries in Italy, Spain and Greece.

"We are moving away from a regular shopping experience to a hub of resources, learning and sourcing," said Nemo Tile + Stone CEO Matt Karlin.

The facility features marble, quartzite and granite collections, alongside porcelain slabs designed to mimic high-end marbles. Available slab sizes range from 129 by 64 inches to 120 by 50-60 inches, with thicknesses of 12mm and 6mm.

The New York City-based company plans to host durability workshops for industry professionals at the new location, focusing on material education and installation techniques.

The gallery opening marks an expansion for the century-old surface materials provider, addressing industry challenges like long delivery times and limited material choices for commercial and residential projects.
