Cosentino Group Unveils First Global Trend Report for Design and Architecture

By FLOOR Trends & Installation Editors
Cosentino Global Trends Report
March 28, 2025

Cosentino Group, the manufacturer of sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, has launched its first Global Trend Report titled "Shaping Tomorrow: Future Design & Architecture." The comprehensive 400-page report identifies five key macro trends—Origin, Solace, Nature, Urban, and Wonder—that will influence architectural and design environments in coming years.

The report presents each trend through detailed texts, mood boards, color palettes, material selections, and interviews with renowned design professionals, including Nina Magon, Tom Dixon, and Mikel Welch. Created in partnership with journalist Enric Pastor and color expert Judith van Vliet, the publication analyzes these trends through storytelling, photography, and material exploration.

"With this report, we are offering a unique approach to trends and analyzing them in a way that hasn't been done before," said Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and EVP of Global Sales. "As a global brand, Cosentino has the opportunity to gain the perspective of designers all over the world."

The five key trends identified include:

Origin focuses on local culture and heritage, creating stronger emotional connections through design that celebrates tradition and authenticity.

Solace emphasizes designing for emotions, using color, texture and lighting to create environments that support mental and emotional wellbeing.

Nature promotes sustainable design practices, advocating for mindful approaches to materials and reuse strategies.

Urban addresses the challenges of city living, highlighting versatile, multifunctional spaces that accommodate modern lifestyles.

Wonder explores design that creates surprise and amazement, breaking through everyday predictability with innovative colors, textures, and materials.

The report's methodology included analyzing opinions from over 200 global professionals and conducting one-on-one interviews with experts in interior design, architecture, and space management.
