AHF Products reported that it is well-positioned to navigate changing tariff landscapes, thanks to its extensive domestic manufacturing footprint, while warning that some price increases are inevitable due to raw material tariffs.
The company revealed it manufactures approximately 85% of its flooring domestically, including hardwood, resilient floors, and porcelain tile. This strategic approach helps shield customers from the severe price volatility affecting fully-imported flooring products.
"We have invested $40 million in our factories over the last few years to expand our capacity and enhance capabilities," said Jennifer Zimmerman, Chief Commercial Officer at AHF Products. "With advanced manufacturing technologies and stronger supply chain control, we're ensuring our customers' continued success, despite market challenges."
While AHF's domestic production provides significant tariff protection, the company disclosed that price adjustments are coming for certain U.S.-made products, including some LVT and residential sheet products, due to tariffs on raw materials. However, Zimmerman emphasized these increases would be "significantly more stable and predictable than the sharp spikes expected with imported finished goods."
AHF's recent acquisition of two sawmills further strengthens its domestic supply chain, bringing lumber sources closer to its solid wood manufacturing operations in West Virginia. The company's vertical integration strategy includes nine additional U.S. factories, including porcelain tile production in Tennessee and the distinction of being the only domestic manufacturer of vinyl composition tile (VCT).
Products with limited tariff exposure include solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, VCT, static dissipative tiles, Crossville-manufactured porcelain tiles, and various resilient flooring options. Products expected to see price increases include light commercial and residential LVT, some AHF Contract and Parterre LVT, commercial sheet vinyl, and SPC products.
