HMTX a global flooring manufacturer based in Norwalk, Connecticut, announced that Debarati Sen, currently serving as its group president, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective May 16. Harlan Stone, who has served as CEO since the 1990’s, will transition to the role of executive chairman.

This planned leadership transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing growth strategy and succession planning.

  “Deba has been instrumental in driving our strategic initiatives, building strong teams, and delivering outstanding results,” Stone said. “Her leadership, vision, compassion and deep understanding of global business makes her the ideal person to lead HMTX into its next phase of growth. I look forward to continuing to support her in my new role as executive chairman.”

Sen brings nearly three decades of experience in global business, including over 26 years with 3M where she served in several key leadership positions including president of 3M Home Improvement & Consumer Well-being, president of 3M Construction & Home Improvement and president of 3M Abrasives Systems Division(s). Additionally she has public company CEO and board-level experience, having served as CEO of a top 100 publicly traded company in India (NSE: 3MINDIA, BSE: 3MINDIA) and her current board roles as an independent director for Nortech Systems (NASDAQ: NSYS) and OneSource Pharma (BSE/NSE: ONESOURCE).
