Chelsea Plank Flooring Earns Industry Quality Certification

Chelsea Plank Flooring of Chelsea, Michigan, has received certification from the National Wood Flooring Association [NWFA], joining a select group of manufacturers that meet rigorous industry standards for hardwood flooring production.
The NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification ensures that wood flooring meets or exceeds industry benchmarks for grade, configuration, moisture content and average board length. Certified mills undergo inspections at least twice yearly to maintain compliance with production standards.
"Chelsea Plank Flooring has long demonstrated a deep commitment to craftsmanship and quality," said John Forbes, NWFA director of manufacturer services. The certification "highlights the important role domestic manufacturers play in providing reliable, high-performance hardwood flooring in today's market."
Megan Anders, the company's general manager and vice president, said the certification validates Chelsea Plank's manufacturing practices. "Through the years, we have relied heavily on our excellent craftsmanship to propel us forward, and this certification is a testament to our dedication to manufacturing superior quality hardwood flooring each and every day."
The National Wood Flooring Association, based in St. Charles, Missouri, represents more than 3,000 member companies worldwide and provides education and training for the wood flooring industry. NOFMA, the National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association, consolidated under the NWFA umbrella in 2008.A complete list of certified manufacturers is available on the NWFA website.
