The International Surface Event (TISE) hosted its first of four Regional Competitions on July 19, 2025, at WJ Grosvenor, a Division of L. Fishman & Son, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts.
Flooring pros competed to discover who's the best hardwood or carpet installer for a chance at the National Installer of the Year title, which will take place at TISE 2026 in Las Vegas. The competition was sponsored by Mohawk Industries, QEP, Roberts Consolidated, Performance Accessories, and Sika USA. The Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) association organized the event.
"Competitors faced off in intense head-to-head matchups, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise," said Rachel Lesczynski, conference manager, TISE. "From perfect seam work in carpet to precision cuts and flawless transitions in engineered wood, the level of workmanship was truly impressive."
