HempWood Opens Second Factory in Murray, Kentucky

HempWood recently celebrated the opening of its second factory in Murray, Kentucky.
The expansion reflects HempWood’s commitment to Made-in-America manufacturing, increased capacity, faster lead times, and new custom products for flooring, furniture, millworks, and panels.
“HempWood is excited to enter the next phase of our growth in Murray,” said HempWood Founder and CEO Greg Wilson. “Our second factory will bring new HempWood furniture and millwork to the market.”
Using patented technology, HempWood transforms locally grown hemp fibers into carbon-negative, formaldehyde-free hardwood. The new facility strengthens its mission to replace high-impact hardwoods with sustainable, U.S.-made alternatives.
Industry leaders, architects, sustainability advocates, media, and civic partners are attended the celebration.
Invented in 2010 and founded in 2018, HempWood was the first Made-in-America hemp building material and offers high-performance, healthy, climate-friendly alternatives for flooring, furniture, cabinetry and paneling.
