Approximately 80 percent of the floor space is covered with merchandising units, so required flooring maintenance needed to be minimal and noninvasive. With traffic between three and five million people a year, BrandsMart USA needed a low maintenance, high performing, no-wax floor, so they installed Azrock by Tarkett's Milano, a solid vinyl tile floor that met these requirements.

"Our motive was to get rid of our current flooring, which required a wax regime and switch to a no wax resilient, which will save us at least $100,000 a year in maintenance," said Larry Levine, Vice President of Operations for BrandsMart USA. "This location is our second to open in the Atlanta area with a third scheduled for October 2006 and we plan to use the same flooring in our next store."

Kenneth McGee served as the architect for the new location in Kennesaw, Georgia and Mickey Burton of Southeast Commercial Flooring was chosen to install Azrock by Tarkett's Milano Gold.

Azrock by Tarkett's Milano replicates the look of natural stone, with multicolored chips pressed into the tile to deliver its variegated appearance. The speckled visual and larger tile size help to expand the creative options. Because of its higher vinyl content, solid vinyl tile is extremely durable flooring. It adjusts to sub-flooring irregularities and requires minimal maintenance.

The new BrandsMart USA store in Kennesaw, Georgia opened October 1, 2005.
