Carpet Co-op of America merges its subsidiaries

Carpet Co-op of America has merged its America's Carpet Gallery and Flooring America subsidiaries in an effort to enhance programs and services for member stores. The new $960 million Flooring America operation will be based in Manchester, N.H., where Carpet Co-op of America has had offices since 1984.

The 460 retail stores in the combined organization will continue to operate under their existing America's Carpet Gallery, Flooring America, and Carpet Max names. The merger brings Flooring America headquarters, previously based in Dalton, Ga., and America's Carpet Gallery headquarters, formerly in Roanoke, Va., to the Carpet Co-op offices in New Hampshire.
