To help consumers make intelligent decisions in selecting from the variety of floor covering options available in the marketplace, the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) has completely revamped and re-launched the organization’s website at www.wfca.org.

The new, more consumer-friendly website provides information on all the various types of flooring available -- everything from how they are constructed to appropriate settings, and care and maintenance instructions.

The site also offers points to consider before purchasing flooring and other helpful tips, as well as links to other valuable websites offering flooring information, such as emergency care directions.

The timing of the April launch of the completely revised website coincides with National Floor Covering Month. The WFCA is encouraging consumers to “Look Down For A Change” and explore all the fashion options for the floor as the starting point of the home decorating experience.

“We know the Internet is a valuable tool for information,” said WFCA CEO Chris Davis, “and we believe the information on the consumer portion of our website can effectively serve as the one-stop source of information on flooring to help consumers before they head off to visit a floor covering store.”

To make sure consumers visit an appropriate store, a new directory on the website can guide them to WFCA member floor covering stores in their area.

In addition to providing consumer information, the website also has a professional section geared to floor covering dealers. This portion of the website is designed to showcase products and services the WFCA offers, including information on educational programming and communications to members. Other new features and benefits are being added on an ongoing basis to this portion of the website.
