Industrial output surges
WASHINGTON--Industrial production experienced its biggest gain in March since May 2000, the Federal Reserve recently reported.
Industrial production rose 0.7% in March. This followed a revised 0.3% rise in February, originally reported as a 0.4% gain. Economists had predicted a 0.5% gain in industrial production.
Capacity use rose to 75.4% in March.
