Pergo Inc. recently submitted its laminate flooring products for industry standards testing. Every product tested passed and, in December 2002, the company was granted official standards certification by the North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA).

NALFA's standards were developed and certified through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and first published in 2001. Products are submitted for testing and certification on a voluntary basis, and put through a series of standardized tests at an independent laboratory by inspectors who rate resistance to such factors as impact, light, stains, radiant heat, static loads, and general wear.

Pergo's NAFLA-certified collections include the Select, Paradigm, Accolade, Original Tiles, Presto, and Prodigy lines.
