Vancouver-based Nuheat is officially setting up shop in the United States with new offices that will service the Midwest, Northeast and Pacific Northwest, as well as California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Montana and the Dakotas, according to the company.

Nuheated floors utilize a patented technology of energy-efficient radiant heating mats that install directly under hard flooring surfaces that are traditionally cold.

The Nuheat floor warming system features a programmable thermostat that allows the homeowner to set the floor temperature. With more than 60 different standard sizes, the heating mats are designed to fit the majority of rooms, while custom mats can be made to fit a room with curves or angles.

The heating mats are installed directly between the floor and subfloor and require the same bonding materials that are used to lay tile floors, the company says.
