Fire damages Textile Rubber & Chemical's Dalton facility

DALTON, Ga. -- A fire in the early morning hours of Sept. 12 destroyed "a good portion" Textile Rubber & Chemical Co.'s facilities at 1400 Tiarco Drive here in Dalton. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but there were no injuries or loss of life.

Only Textile Rubber's commission coating business has been affected, the company said, and all other aspects of the operation are operating normally. The company also said it intends to resume coating operations at other locations as soon as possible.
