DALTON -- Mohawk Industries has expanded its participation with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to include fundraising in both the commercial and residential floorcovering marketplaces.

Mohawk had earlier this year become a sponsor of the Komen Foundation with its Specify for a Cure program in commercial carpet. Now, Mohawk is unveiling its Decorate for the Cure program for residential carpet, and kicking it off with a major promotion.

In August, retailers selling Mohawk carpets made with Anso fiber have an opportunity to help in the fight against breast cancer, as Mohawk will donate $0.10 per square yard to the foundation for every Mohawk Anso style sold through Aug. 31.

The promotion includes point-of-purchase materials that retailers can use to increase the level of awareness of breast cancer and provide breast health information to their consumers while at the same time identifying carpets on their floor that qualify.

In addition to the contributions to the Komen Foundation, Mohawk encourages participation of retail salespeople with an incentive program to reward their efforts.
