Weyerhaeuser Building Materials has debuted Lyptus High-Grade Hardwood Flooring, a new line made from a naturally occurring Eucalpytus hardwood.
Lyptus, which has never before been available in commercial quantities, is considered by many to be an ideal hardwood for building materials due to the species' extremely fast growth and full sustainability. The wood compares favorably in density and strength to oak and beech, Weyerhaeuser says.
