Tai Ping Carpets and Rugs will showcase six new carpet collections during Surfaces 2003. Tai Ping’s new handmade collections are Zen Silks and Classic & Chic. Four additional collections -- D¿r II, Timeless II, Crossroads II, and Park Lane II -- are updates to existing handmade lines.
Zen Silks is a series of four styles, made of wool and silk, that is inspired by classic Japanese textile designs and architectural elements. The styles available in the collection are Edo, Kasuri, Koshi, and Kyoto.
Classic & Chic are two refined textures. Classic is 100 percent wool with subtle colorations, and Chic is made of wool and silk. Classic features a high/low loop tweed texture, while Chic’s all-loop pile projects a small popcorn grid design.
D¿r II, Timeless II, Crossroads II, and Park Lane II all feature updated patterns.
