Wilsonart Trac-Loc wins twice at NeoCon

Wilsonart's Trac-Loc commercial flooring installation system received two awards at this year's NeoCon.

Trac-Loc won a gold award in the flooring category of NeoCon's traditional Best of Competition awards. Judging criteria included product functionality, flexibility, quality, durability, aesthetics, style, innovation, pricing, and environment sustainability.

Trac-Loc also received the grand prize for the Innovation Award in the Performance and Ease of Use category. Criteria in this category included the product's usability in facility settings and in providing management solutions.

Quick Step line offers new 'Perspective'

Quick Step recently released Uniclic Perspective long planks, a laminate product manufactured to closely emulate the appearance of real hardwood.

Perspective planks measure 54¿ by 6 1/6 inches and are 3/8 inches thick. The product is available in 10 designs - including harvest oak, natural varnished cherry and steamed beech. The product's Uniclic installation system allows for glueless installation.

Quick Step laminate flooring is covered by a 25-year wear resistance warranty.

Faus gains U.s patent on embossing technology

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 6,401,415 to Faus Group Inc. for two of its laminate innovations.

The patent covers Faus' Embossed-in-Register laminate flooring technology, which was developed to bring the look and textural feel of natural wood, ceramic and stone to laminate flooring products.

The patent also covers the company's JointGuard technology, which was developed to protect the joints of laminate floor tiles.

Alloc releases display for Alloc home line

Alloc Inc. has developed a new display for its Alloc Home line of products. The display is capable of holding as many as 16 different designs.

Alloc Home features a patented joint-locking system designed to provide tight joints without need for glue. The product comes with a 25-year warranty covering joint integrity as well as resistance to staining, fading, wear, and water intrusion.

Witex debuts laminate tiles

Witex USA Inc.'s newest floor is its glueless Casa Collection of laminate flooring tile. The 16-by-16-inch tiles are stylized to resemble resilient, ceramic and slate flooring.

The Casa Collection of tiles feature the AquaProtect coreboard which, according to Witex, significantly reduces the product's moisture absorption.

In addition, the collection can also be updated with optional Silent Comfort sound-reduction backing. All tiles in the collection are covered by Witex's 25-year warranty against wear, fading, staining, and moisture damage.
