Columbia Flooring has signed on as a benefactor of the Hardwood Forestry Fund (HFF), a conservation group dedicated to establishing sustainable hardwood forests.

Through tree planting on public land, the Hardwood Forestry Fund promotes hardwood timber growth, management, environmental education and wise use of renewable forest resources. Trees planted by the Hardwood Forestry Fund require a management plan that ensures they will be cared for to provide quality natural resources for future generations. Educational and demonstration forests help teach school children and private landowners how to establish and be good stewards of hardwood forests.

"Columbia Flooring’s recent contribution to the Hardwood Forestry Fund continues Columbia Forest Products' long-term commitment of establishing sustainable forests," HFF administrator Barbara McClendon said.
